Hanging frames in a gallery style creates a very clean and cohesive look. The frames and images are normally all the same size and colour and hung in a grid pattern.

A great idea for a frame-headboard using the grid layout:

Use framed prints to fill up blank space on the wall behind a bed, an arrangement that doubles as a headboard. To create this gridlike look, use square black frames and hang them close together, leaving about 2-3 inches between the frame edges. (via Better Homes and Gardens)

Finally, don’t be afraid to think outside the box by hanging frames below or above eye level:

To keep your frames hanging straight on the wall try using 2 picture hangers per frame instead of 1.
